Tales From the Forest by Emily Hibbs and Erin Brown

Discover the animals who call the forest home in this beautiful collection of twenty original tales. A special gift to share with nature lovers of all ages!
The forest is full of life. As the seasons change, climb trees with Bear Cub, explore the night skies with Firefly, stay cozy underground with Mole and discover snowflakes with Fox!
With colour illustrations on every page, TALES FROM THE FOREST is perfect for younger readers or for older children to read independently.

This is a fabulous collection of short stories featuring forest animals. Divided into seasons and heavily illustrated, this is a wonderful book.

Each story has a gentle moral, nothing too obvious, and there's a four line poem at the end to sum the story up, which is a lovely touch. I can see reading sessions where the parent reads the story and the child reads the poem. The illustrations are gorgeous; each story starts with a full page illustration and there are other pictures as the story goes on, too.

All in all, this is a lovely collection; nice to look at, not too long, not too preachy and full of happy endings. A fabulous gift for any young reader.

Tales from the Forest publishes on 1st October, 2020.
