This book is so cleverly designed! It's long, rather than tall like most picture books, and each page has a series of flaps that cover progressively more of the page. So you start with an oak tree in springtime, all buds and tiny green leaves, and by the time you've turned over all the flaps it's winter and the branches are bare and snowy. It must have taken so much work to arrange everything properly and still have it make sense.
It features six very different landscapes, with different animals and plants and small bubbles of information about them. Kids will love to watch the landscapes change in front of them, and the sturdy cover will keep your book safe for quite a while.
This is a gorgeous book and would make a wonderful gift for any child.
Seasons publishes on the 1st October, 2020.
