The One and Only Bob by Katherine Applegate

Bob sets out on a dangerous journey in search of his long-lost sister with the help of his two best friends, Ivan and Ruby. As a hurricane approaches and time is running out, Bob finds courage he never knew he had and learns the true meaning of friendship and family.
Back to the world of Ivan and his friends. Bob is a longer book; although it's written in the same format, with very short chapters taking up less than a page each, Bob is quite a bit  talkier than Ivan. He's also a bit rougher in tone, but we knew that from the first book.

Oh, yes; probably don't start with this one. Although Bob gives you the background you need, things will make more sense to you if you've read the first one.

I'll also point out that the summary above is slightly misleading; the sister-search comes after the hurricane, and Ivan and Ruby are barely involved in it. They are there for some of it though, and that's what's important.

I loved this. I love Bob, and all his self doubt and confusion. This was a fantastic read and I can't wait for Disney+ to film this one, too. Brilliant.
