A deck to help you amplify your intentions with aromatherapy oils and vibrationally matching crystals
• Includes 42 full-color cards, each featuring an essential oil, a vibrationally matching crystal, and a positive affirmation
• Includes a 160-page booklet explaining how to use the cards
• Provides, for each essential oil, its therapeutic properties and safety precautions as well as how the gemstone relates to the use of the oil
Just like gemstones, essential oils work on an energetic level to rebalance us spiritually, mentally, and emotionally and offer many physiological benefits.
Bringing aromatherapy into partnership with crystals, Essential Oils & Gemstone Guardians Cards present a hands-on way to engage with the enhanced powers of allies from the mineral and plant kingdom together. Specifically created to help you establish clear intentions, the 42 two-sided cards each show an essential oil and a vibrationally matching crystal, offering guidance and positive affirmations for your life. The color-coded cards are divided into six groups: Focus, Grounding, and Protection; Health and Well-Being; Love, Friendship, and Romance; Money, Creativity, and Motivation; Happiness and Self-Confidence; Intuition and Communication--each helping you to understand yourself better. With an intention or request for clarity or insight in mind, you can either draw just one card or create a card spread by choosing several cards.
The accompanying booklet provides, for each essential oil, the botanical name, fragrance profile, chemical components, therapeutic properties, and safety precautions as well as how the gemstone relates to the use of the essential oil. As author Margaret Ann Lembo explains, the energetic value, or vibration, of an essential oil is stabilized by the devic forces associated with mother plant, flower, root, or bark. The energetic vibration of a gemstone holds records and goals to help you focus on the reality you wish to create. You design your reality and the cards in this deck will help you focus on your intentions and ignite transformation in your life.
Designed to spark your courage and innate knowledge and abilities, this deck and guidebook set helps empower you to step forward with confidence and realize your unlimited potential.
I don't have much experience with oracle cards yet. I'm much better at tarot. Even without using them as oracles, though, these are really interesting cards.
We'll talk about the cards first and come back to the book of words, which has a lot of really interesting information in it. The cards are split into six colour coded categories, each with seven cards; Focus, Grounding and Protection is red, Health and Wellbeing is blue, Money, Creativity and Motivation is green, Love, Friendship and Romance is pink, Intuition and Communication is turquoise and Happiness and Self Confidence is yellow. The colour is in a frame around the outside of the card, and on the gemstone side the category is printed up the lefthand side. (It's quite hard to see on the yellow cards, but on all the others it's very clear.) Each card is double sided, with a crystal and what it's good for on one side, and an oil and affirmation on the other. The bottom of each card tells you what the other side is - for example, on the bottom of the Pink Calcite card is Mandarin, and on the bottom of the other side is Pink Calcite. There's a picture of the crystal on one side and the plant the oil comes from on the other.
These are lovely cards, brightly coloured and nice to hold. However! I thought I was quite well up on my crystals and oils, and there are some here I've never heard of! (I'm not saying which ones, because with my luck they'll turn out to be really well known.) I've made myself a little list of ones to look out for in future, but it'll take me a while to gather everything. It's good to have something to aspire to! A set of these cards and some crystals and oils would be a great gift for someone, actually.
The book has a brief introduction to the deck, followed by some general advice about crystals and oil safety. There's a description of the card categories, including which chakra each combination will work best for. Then we get into spreads. It gives a three, a seven and a daily pull. Unlike tarot, the spreads don't have meanings attached to each position; we're invited to interpret the colours of the cards pulled, then the individual meanings. Seems harder but there must be great satisfaction in it!
There's some general advice about doing the readings, and then we're into the individual cards. They're alphabetical by the name of the oil. Each one has a couple of pages, with descriptions of the oil and crystal and what they're used for, as well as technical imformation like the botanical name, fragrance comps and uses. I love the chatty tone of the descriptions, it makes it easier for me to connect and retain the knowledge.
At the end of the book there are appendices; a list of the crystals in alphabetical order and their accompanying oil; a list of all the benefits of the oils, in alphabetical order, and which oils have that benefit; and a list of other books and references people might find useful. They're useful for looking up something specific but I did find the text just a little bit small!
I'm really enjoying using the cards to learn more about my crystals and oils and to make up a wishlist for future purchases. They're laid out and written beautifully and they feel lovely in my hands. Definitely one I'll come back to in future, even just to use the affirmations for a boost!
