Fans of The Hunger Games will find a lot to enjoy here, as a young woman with a young sister is forced into a fight to the death. There's a maybe-romance in her home town, a marriage she's forced into to keep up appearances...it all comes together beautifully!
There are no deep metaphors here; this is simple, straightforward action all the way. I would have liked a little more explanation on the background, but it didn't really harm anything not to know. Once the action starts here it never lets up. You'll want to set some time aside to read this as you won't want to stop.
A good read to sit alongside other dystopians.
