Sarah and Kunak, the power couple of Irish nostalgia, have done it again. Ah...That's Gas! features all the watercooler moments of the last forty years of Irish history, and it's bang up to date with Adam's Hug and Doorstep Clapping featured alongside sport and cultural moments. It's surprising how many of them I actually remembered!
I'm not a huge sports fan, I have to admit, but I did enjoy reading about some of the wackier games (and my sports fan father remembered just about all of them when we discussed it!) I read the whole thing front to back, but it would make an excellent book to dip in and out of, or a fantastic 'do you remember...?' during family gatherings. I can't wait to see what Sarah and Kunak's next project is going to be. Now I have to go dig out my Irish Christmas and make sure I'm doing everything I should be.
And yes, darnit, I am singing the Penney's song. That'll stop at some point, right? ...right?
