I've been noticing a mini trend lately of 'reality TV' books, most of which prove that there's no such thing as reality TV - it's all manipulated and posed to create the image the producers want. This features a 'romance' version of a standard Survivors-esque show, where the participants are literally tied together and forced to form bonds.
It's an interesting read, though I found it unlikely that everyone would form such good partnerships. Even on a show where people are chosen for compatibility, that doesn't mean everyone is going to like each other, right? Especially when they're playing for a huge prize and are all technically rivals. However, the storytelling and the location overcame that and I really enjoyed the read. The tactics were fascinating! I'd be terrible at this kind of thing because I can't analyse people the right way.
