The only thing for certain is the deaths were no accident.
Rayner High School once a prestigious school stands in ruins after such a terrible event.
A year later, a group of friends return to the abandoned school and their nightmare begins.
Something wants to get out and won’t take NO for an answer…
I loved Point Horror, back in the day, I read loads of them. When I heard about this series, I was so excited to read them. Sadly, this one has joined the list of 'books I wish I'd waited to read when they were published fully'. Although I enjoyed the story here, there were a few grammer and logic mistakes that I'm certain will be smoothed out by the time it's published. Proofs often have a few here and there, so I'm not worried about it, they just put me off a bit.
And it's a shame, because I really did enjoy the story. It's pitched as a new Point Horror series, but to me it reads a little younger than that, just by a couple of years - maybe 12 or 13 against Point Horror's 15 ish. This is really great as there isn't much proper horror for this age group.
I liked the characters and there are some fantastic surprises as the story goes on. It was a great ending with possible space for more. I really recommend this and I think it'll do well.
I received a free copy and am giving an honest review. Thanks to QMP and ZooLooTours.
Thank you so much for your honest review. Sorry you were put off with it a little bit.But I am glad I managed to surprise you :)
ReplyDeleteIt's only 'cos I'm such a grammar nerd! I'm sure other people wouldn't notice. I can't wait to read a full copy, and more in teh series. Thanks for having me on the tour!
