Your Body by Harriet Evans and Lirios Bou

What’s in your body? Have you ever been shown?
That you have a skeleton,
made up of… BONES!

Tug the tab to reveal all that hides in your insides. From nose to toes, there’s plenty to discover with the magically dissolving windows in this bright board book.

This is a brilliantly clever book. Each spread features a rhyming verse and a sliding page that reveals a cross section of the body, showing some part of its make up ... bones, lungs and breathing, heart and blood vessels and so on. The pictures are colourful and bright, a nice gentle introduction to the body.

The book is very sturdy, including the sliding flaps, and will hold up well to children pulling at it. There's plenty to look at and talk about in the pictures. This is a fabulous first body book for young children and will do really well. A lovely read.

Your Body publishes on the 13th of May, 2021. I received a free copy and am giving an honest review.
