Pip and Posy: How Are You?

A chunky board book with handy tabbed pages to help young children turn the page and build book-confidence.

Like all friends do, Pip and Posy sometimes get upset, feel cross and feel scared. This book explores how they cope when they feel these different emotions, and what they can do to help each other feel better.

Anyone who spends time around young children knows that their emotions can quickly overtake them. Books like this can help them learn how to manage those strong emotions, and this is a great example.

The illustrations and situations come from the Pip and Posy tv series. There are four different situations, each spread over two spreads; the first spread lays out the problem and asks for children's ideas about how to fix it, the second shows how Pip and Posy handled it.

The book is sturdy and will hold up to a lot of handling and pulling by kids. The colours are bright and interesting and, even beyond the actual story, there's a lot of detail in the pictures for children to talk about.

This is a great example of an educational book that's also really fun to read.

Pip and Posy: How Are You? publishes on the 2nd of February, 2023. I received a free copy and am giving an honest review.
