Intelligent zombies with an insatiable appetite for brains. A guerrilla band on the run. Can a new secret weapon change their unravelling fate?
Jennifer lost her sister. With nothing left to live for, she throws herself into the fight against the Soviet invaders with no care for her own safety.
When she returns to the Sniper hideout, she learns of a new weapon that could be the key to defeating the Soviets—but the secret to making it lies hundreds of miles away.
What’s worse, the zombie virus has mutated. The infected have transformed from mindless monsters into intelligent predators—and they’re rounding up truckloads of humans for food.
The road has never been so dangerous. Can Jennifer and the Snipers outmaneuver the sentient zombies in a desperate bid to save their country?
Sentients is the fourth installment of the high-octane Zommunist Invasion apocalypse series. If you like stories with high stakes, narrow odds, and compelling characters, you’ll love this action-packed, 1985 zombie adventure.
This book is written from the POV of Jennifer and Koz. As always with me, it took a while before I remembered who everyone was and what the relationships were, but that's absolutely normal for me; details tend to escape me after a while, and it's been a while since I read the last one in this series. I wish recaps were more normal!
I'm not 100% sure if this is the last in the series; this could be an ending, and Camille has started another series, but there's also plenty of room to continue the series if she wants to. Either way, I liked seeing where the surviving characters got to.
This is a zombie story, so there is a lot of gore, killing, suicide and cursing - specifically, most of the enemies are bastards or fuckers, so be aware of that. It's an adult read, I would say, or an older teenager.
If this is an ending, it's a great one, and if there's more to come, I can't wait to read it!
