Blogtour: It Calls from the Doors (Anthology)

Open the door to your nightmares.

They are the silent guardians of our inner spaces. We throw them open to welcome friends and family. We shut them tight against the darkness and trust them to keep us safe. But they also hide our true natures, ward off intruders, and seal away what can never be allowed to escape.

But, what happens when the thing that we rely on the most, welcomes the bad things in? What happens when our protector becomes the thing we fear?

Turn the key, pull back the bolt, unfasten the latch and let the darkness through. Discover 19 tales of terror and despair that lurk on the other side of the Doors in the fourth instalment of Eerie River Publishing's horror series.

This is the fourth anthology in the It Calls From... series. It's the second one I've read and, like that one, this is a creepy anthology of stories linked by a common theme. As with all anthologies, some stories are better than others, but they're all entertaining and clever.

'Doors' is used quite loosely here as 'something we pass through', so sometimes it's a portal, an upright stone opening, or  even just a cave. The Waiting Room struck me as really clever, but the story that's lingering in my mind the most is Who's That Trip Trappin'. It's one with a door that's not really a door, but it's creepy and really effective.

This is a fantastic read for this time of year. I honestly did side eye a few doors I passed or went through as I was reading! This is a fabulous addition to the range and I can't wait to see what the next title in the series is!

Thanks for allowing me on the blog tour.
