Mouse in Training by Emer Stamp

Stix, a tiny mouse who lives behind the washing machine, has always followed his grandmother's rules to avoid contact with the mans who live in the flat. But, separated temporarily from his grnadmother, he makes friends with some of the other creatures in the house and sets out to make a real PEST of himself...

This is a great story. The illustrations are fantastic and kids will love the humour and characters. This is the perfect next step for someone who's read all the Dogman books; the humour is similar, and it's heavily illustrated but not quite as much as Dogman. I really enjoyed the story and was excited to see how Stix would get himself out of the various scraps he gets himself into!

I think this series is going to do very well and I look forward to reading more of it.
