Suzy and Kevin are best friends. They do everything together! Until one day, Kevin's in a Mood. Suzy tries everything to cheer him up - she tells him jokes and even plays his favourite song. But Kevin's STILL in a Mood. All their friends try to help, but nothing seems to make Kevin feel better ... what could be wrong?
Sarah Bowie's recognisable, slightly cartoony style is on full display here, with Kevin and Suzy and a wide variety of friends popping by. This is a sweet story about friendship, and the ways Suzy's friends try to help her are wonderful.
It's a geat message to try and look deeper to figure out why people are feeling as they are, and no one is upset with Kevin when they figure it out, which is lovely; he's allowed to feel the way he feels. It's a great read for kids, who will love trying to figure out what's going on and looking for secrets hidden in the illustrations!
This is a great read and I'm looking forward to reading more by Sarah.
