Ireland Discover Its Beauty by Carsten Krieger

A full photographic tour covering the whole of Ireland. Carsten Krieger's renowned evocative landscape photography is complimented by more intimate shots of craftspeople going about their daily work. Coastlines, rivers, mountains, towns, from scenes that have remained largely unchanged for thousands of years to a vibrant, modern Ireland are captured through his lens.

This is an astoundingly beautiful photo guide to Ireland. Traveling around the whole country, province by province, there are photos of natural features, of old ruins and buildings and of bustling main streets - all the little contradictions that make up Ireland.

We live in such a beautiful country, and if most of us are anything like me, we don't take advantage of it enough. This book will encourage you to get out - especially after the year we've had! - and explore some of our natural beauty spots and heritage sites.

My only gripe; the print in the (extremely interesting) reading sections is just a hair too small to be comfortable for me. However, I'm very short-sighted and tend to read with the book resting on the table rather than held up in front of me; someone with better eyes might find it easier to read. And really, if the print was even a tiny bit larger, the book would be half again as long! (Not that I'm complaining; they'd fit even more awesome pictures in then.)

I love this book. I love looking through it, suggesting places to visit or just basking in the images, reading about the history of the various places. It's absolutely gorgeous and it's one I'll be picking up for a while to come.

I received a free copy and am giving an honest review.
