Dare to Dream by Sarah Webb and Graham Corcoran

Following on the heels of Blazing a Trail, Sarah takes dozens of Irish people and discusses their accomplishments on the world stage.

I'll admit it! I didn't know most of the people featured in this wonderful book. But that's the joy of it. I got to learn about some fascinating figures. Graham's illustrations complement the stories perfectly; his figures are completely distinct and there are so many details hidden in the backgrounds.

Each person gets a full page story and a few bullet points, and a full page illustration. Did you know that the milliner who designed the Beaubaxtons hats is Irish? (Did you know what a milliner is?)

I'm going to enjoy dipping in and out of this for a long time to come.
